Uttar Pradesh / Kaushambi: The team came to demolish the house… the bulldozer was about to move, two brothers insisted and the administration backed off

To facilitate the movement of people in Sujatpur of Sirathu tehsil, the construction of an ROB was started in June 2021, for which the government acquired houses and land of many people for the construction of ROB. Compensation amount was also given by the government to the acquired people.

Even after receiving compensation, some people did not demolish the acquired houses. Due to this, problems were arising in ROB construction. There were many talks between officials and land owners regarding this problem. Despite that, Jagdish Vishwakarma, Shyamlal, Lallu, Chandrashekhar, Bachhilal, Amarsingh and Kamaldeep did not give up their occupation.

After reaching Sujatpur Bamhrauli on Wednesday, the administration first demolished the boundary wall and house of Jagdish Vishwakarma. After that the houses of Bachi Lal, Shyamlal and Kamaldeep were demolished through bulldozer.

Amar Singh and Chandrashekhar started demolishing the house as soon as they saw the squad, but as soon as the bulldozer started demolishing Amar Singh’s house, Amar Singh and his brother Jai Singh sat on the railway track, on which the administration gave them time.

At the time of demolition proceedings, Assistant Engineer of Bridge Corporation RK Singh Tomar, Naib Tehsildar Chail Ankita Pathak, Naib Tehsildar Sirathu. Sanjay Singh, revenue team, other employees of Setu Nigam and Kada Dham, Kokhraj, Painsa, a vehicle of reserve police force and fire brigade were present.
