Uttarakhand: Seniority list of 372 inspectors released once again, objections sought in seven days

The seniority list of inspectors has been released once. Last year, the seniority list was released on the basis of PTC marks. But, the Police Headquarters has rejected this and released a new provisional list. By releasing this list of a total of 372 inspectors (civil police, intelligence and armed forces), the headquarters has also sought objections in the next seven days. However, this provisional list is being considered final. It is being told that the police headquarters is now in no mood to make any changes in this.

Let us tell you that last year, while changing the rules, the Police Headquarters had released the seniority list of Inspectors. This list was released on the basis of PTC marks. That is, the inspector who had more marks in training was considered senior. Some inspectors had also raised objections to this list. Inspectors of some categories were in favor of releasing the seniority list on the basis of promotion only.

That is, in the year in which the Inspector becomes Inspector, he will be considered senior and will be promoted to the post of Deputy SP. Now the Police Headquarters has released the joint seniority list of Civil Police Inspector, Dalnayak and Intelligence Wing Inspectors on the basis of this old rule.

Objections to this provisional list have also been sought from inspectors within seven days. If an inspector is not satisfied with his order, he can present his case in front of the police headquarters. However, no information is available yet about how much consideration will be given to this and whether it will change or not. But, it is definitely believed that not many inspectors will be in favor of this system. Now whether this provisional list will be final or whether a new one will come will be decided only in the future.

27 DSP posts vacant
At present, 27 posts of DSP are vacant in Uttarakhand Police. The first 27 inspectors are to be promoted on these basis only. Many of these inspectors are those who had received notional promotion against the vacancies in 2014. In such a situation, these inspectors are also going to get a gift from the police headquarters in the new year. It is being told that the promotion process will also start soon after the objections.

There may be resentment among civil police inspectors
Actually, this list mostly includes Inspectors of Intelligence and Armed Police in the order of seniority. Only those inspectors of civil police who got notional promotion in 2014 are included in this. After this, the names of inspectors promoted in 2016 have slipped significantly. In such a situation, there may be resentment among these inspectors of civil police against the list. However, no one is speaking openly about this right now.

6,2,2 formula also on hold
Before releasing this list, the department has also put the 6,2,2 formula on hold for the time being. According to this, six civil police, two intelligence and two armed police inspectors were promoted against the vacancies of DSP. But, this formula will not work in the promotion system this time. According to the Police Headquarters, this formula will be included in the next promotion system.
