Uttarakhand: Big decision of Dhami government…order issued to ban purchase of agricultural and garden land in the state

In Uttarakhand, the government had decided to ban the purchase of land for agriculture and horticulture with the permission of the District Magistrate from the new year. Orders in this regard have been issued today on Friday. Earlier, the Dhami government had also decided to check the background of those buying land.

At present, a draft committee has been constituted to prepare a new land law for the state of Uttarakhand, therefore, in the interest of the state and public, it was decided that till the submission of the report of the land law committee or till further orders, the District Magistrate from outside the state will not Will not take any decision on the proposal of allowing individuals to purchase land for agriculture and gardening purposes.

The number of people buying agricultural land increased

The number of people purchasing agricultural land has increased rapidly in the last few years in the state. The issue is continuously arising that people from outside states are coming and purchasing agricultural land. For this, earlier a committee of Subhash Kumar was formed to make land law. This committee had submitted its report to the government. A draft is now being prepared from this report. After this, the government can take an important decision on land law in the new year.

It was decided to do background check before purchasing land in May

In the month of May last year, the Dhami government had taken a decision in the cabinet that the background and motive of the land buyer in the state would first be investigated. After that permission will be given. Then CM Dhami had said that land was purchased without any restrictions in the state, but now permission will be given after complete background check. Preparations are also being made to bring an ordinance for this.
