Major administrative reshuffle in Rajasthan, 72 IAS and 121 RAS officers transferred; See full list here
The Bhajan Lal government of Rajasthan has made a major reshuffle in the deployment of administrative officers of the state. Today i.e. on Saturday, a large scale administrative reshuffle has been made. Here 72 IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and 121 RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Service) officers have been transferred simultaneously. In fact, yesterday i.e. on January 5, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma distributed portfolios among the newly inducted ministers in his cabinet. In this, the CM has kept 8 departments with himself including Home Department, Excise Department and Anti Corruption Bureau.
Transfer of IAS officers
On the very next day of allotment of portfolios to the ministers, large scale administrative reshuffles have also been seen. The list of transfers of all 72 IAS officers has also been released. Under this, Churu District Collector Siddharth Sihag has been appointed as Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, Kekri District Collector Vishwa Mohan Sharma has been appointed as Commissioner Mid Day Meal, Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation Managing Director Omprakash Weaver has been appointed as Commissioner in the Women Empowerment Department. Apart from this, collectors of many districts have been changed.
RAS officers transferred
At the same time, most of the RAS officers have been replaced at the level of Additional District Collector and Subdivision Officer. The new Bhajan Lal Sharma government of Rajasthan has made the first major reshuffle in the administrative structure of the state. The state personnel department issued orders in this regard late Friday night. Let us tell you that the swearing-in ceremony of Rajasthan State Cabinet took place last week at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur, where 22 ministers were inducted into the government. It included 12 cabinet-level ministers, with five ministers sworn in as independent ministers of state (MoS). In-charge and 5 MLAs took oath as ministers of state.
