Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in this special conference organized in Jaipur that to fulfill the dream of developed India by 2047, the Indian Police should be transformed into a modern and world class police force. Referring to the new criminal law, he said that the implementation of new major criminal laws was a major change in the criminal justice system. The new criminal laws were made with the spirit of ‘citizen first, dignity first and justice first’. The Prime Minister also talked about focusing the police on women’s safety. Modi said it is important to ensure that women can work without fear ‘anytime and anywhere’. Police stations should use social media to spread positive information and messages for the benefit of citizens.
