Pakistani Army stuck for deploying warships by copying India, now giving clarification, is there no fear of Iran?

Amid attacks by pro-Iranian Houthis, Pakistan Navy has deployed its warships in the Arabian Sea under the watchful eye of India. However, Pakistan Navy seems to be trapped by this and is now giving clarification. The Pakistani Navy has said that Pakistan’s decision to deploy warships in the Arabian Sea is to maintain its maritime security in international waters and not to help any particular country against Yemen’s Houthi rebels. In fact, America has formed an alliance with many countries to teach the pro-Iranian Houthis a lesson. Pakistan is beginning to fear that it too might be linked with America. This may enrage Iran.

Regarding this move, the Pakistani Navy spokesperson clarified that the purpose of deployment of ships is not to help any country against Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for attacks and attempted hijackings of commercial vessels in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea “in a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza”. The spokesperson said that the Pakistan Navy’s stance is the same as that of the government in supporting the Palestinians in war-torn Gaza.

India saved its ship from attack

The spokesperson said the ships are continuously patrolling the Arabian Sea to ensure the security of Pakistan’s trade routes. The spokesperson said that continuous aerial surveillance of commercial routes is also being conducted to ensure the safety of Pakistani and international merchant vessels. The Pakistan Navy on Sunday decided to deploy its ships after the Indian Navy rescued 21 crew members from a merchant ship in the Arabian Sea after receiving information about a hijacking crisis.

The move comes after several ships turned away from the Red Sea and took alternative routes due to drone and missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea by Iran-backed Houthi rebels could be adverse for the global economy. Iran says that its allies work on their own accord, not on Tehran’s orders.
