Uttarakhand: Before consecration, BJP will run cleanliness campaign in all the temples and pilgrimage centers of the state

BJP is going to run a special cleanliness campaign in the pilgrimage sites, temples and places of worship of all other religions in the state before the consecration of Prabhu Ramlala. On the occasion of the construction of the divine and grand Shri Ram Temple, a state level team has also been formed to fulfill the resolution of making religious places clean.

State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, while giving detailed information to the media at the party headquarters, said that this national campaign will be run in the state from January 14 to January 22. In which a special cleanliness campaign will be run by party workers around all the pilgrimage areas, temples and places of worship of other religions in the state. He said, as per the instructions of State President Mahendra Bhatt, the party’s MPs, MLAs and organization officials have to ensure their cooperation in making this program effective by ensuring separate locations. In this campaign, for 2 to 3 hours every day, all the cleanliness related works like sweeping, sweeping plastic, keeping dustbins, using lime soil etc. in and around these religious places will be done. Along with this, this campaign of cleanliness will be made more and more successful with public participation by all the civic bodies and other public representative organizations. In this, various sections of the society and eminent persons will be invited and it has to be taken forward by giving it the form of cleanliness movement. Regarding this campaign, State President Bhatt has said in his message that this program of the party is an attempt to take forward Modi ji’s words, “After devotion to God, cleanliness is the biggest devotion.” The temple of Lord Ram is a symbol of our culture’s modern, eternal faith and national spirit. To make this temple a symbol of the collective strength and spirit of crores of people, we have to clean all the holy places on this occasion. We have to take forward this campaign of Modi ji to clean the country from 2nd October 2014 on this golden opportunity of national cultural renaissance.

Chauhan informed that on the instructions of the State President, a state level 5-member committee has been formed to coordinate this campaign. In which the responsibility has been given to State Vice President Kailash Sharma as coordinator, State Minister Mrs. Meera Raturi, Ramesh Chauhan, Dr. Jaipal Singh, Vivek Saxena as co-convenors. It has been decided to form a committee of at least two to three members to conduct the campaign in a systematic manner at the divisional and district level.
