Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Chlorine gas leak in Jhajhra, stampede, difficulty in breathing

Big news is coming out from Dehradun. There was a stir in Jhajhra of Premnagar area due to leakage of chlorine gas on Tuesday morning. After receiving information about the incident, the police team reached the spot and completely evacuated the area. Let us tell you that due to leakage of gas, people started having difficulty in breathing and burning sensation in the eyes.

Chlorine gas leak in plant
The incident is being reported at 3:55 am on Tuesday morning. Chlorine gas leaked from two gas cylinders kept in a plot located in Jhanjhra area. After receiving the information, the team of SDRF, NDRF and fire department including SSP Ajay Singh reached the spot and started the rescue operation.

Completely evacuated the area
The rescue team evacuated people from houses located in the surrounding area and sent them to a safe place. The area was completely evacuated and gas cylinders were removed from the spot. SSP Ajay Singh, who reached the spot, says that the reasons why the gas cylinders were kept in the vacant plot are being investigated.

This problem occurs due to contact with chlorine gas
Exposure to chlorine gas leakage can also cause dizziness, burning sensation in the face and eyes, difficulty breathing, vomiting and headache. Therefore, people from houses located in the surrounding area were rescued and taken to safe places.
