Uttarakhand: Politics heated up on the foundation stone of the road, former MLA accused the MLA of misleading the public

Jhabreda MLA Virendra Jati on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the road to be built from Lathardeva Sheikh to Roorkee Railway Station. Today, former MLA Deshraj Karnawal has raised question marks on laying the foundation stone of the road by Virendra Jati.

Deshraj Karnawal said that road construction work has been started on the announcement made by the CM. In order to take credit for this, the MLA laid the foundation stone of the road again. Taking aim at Jhabreda MLA Virendra Jati, he said that he is misleading the people of the area to take credit.

Deshraj Karnawal challenged the MLA and said that if he has any contribution in the approval of this road, then he should present proof of it. He said that during his tenure, the CM had approved the construction of this road on his proposal. CM Dhami had also formally laid the foundation stone of the road during a program in the area.

Karnawal said that after the budget was released from the department and the tender process was completed, when the Public Works Department decided to start the construction work, the regional MLA Virendra Jati laid the foundation stone of the road again in order to take credit.

Deshraj Karnawal says that on his proposal the then Chief Minister had approved this road on January 8, 2019. Which was proposed from Jhabreda to Roorkee via Lathardeva Sheikh. Its first phase has been completed from Jhabreda to Latardeva Sheikh. The second phase from Lathardeva Shaikh to Roorkee has now started.

Former MLA Deshraj Karnawal said that the CM had already laid its formal foundation stone upon his arrival at Jhabreda. Karnawal said that this road has been approved long ago and it has nothing to do with the present MLA.
