Uttarakhand: The system is not improving in Doon Hospital despite strictness, Principal said this

Despite the strictness of the officials, the system is not coming back to normal in Doon Medical College Hospital. Flaws are still visible in it at all levels. There is no improvement in the wards, nor in the cleanliness and security arrangements. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana has expressed strong displeasure over this. He has instructed the officials to immediately improve the system.

He has warned of strict action if relative improvement is not seen. On which Medical Superintendent Dr. Anurag Aggarwal has issued a notice to the nursing, store, security and cleaning in-charge. Dr. Sayana said that efforts are being made to make the hospital arrangements more patient-friendly and accessible.

In which everyone has collective responsibility. Right now the employees are being given a chance to improve. Even after this, if improvement is not seen, suspension action will also be considered against the concerned. The Medical Superintendent visited the wards of the hospital and checked the intercoms, giving instructions to the nursing officers who did not operate the intercom. Due to which more than half of the intercoms were found to be stalled.

He expressed displeasure over this and directed the store in-charge to fix it. At the same time, directed to take immediate cognizance of the complaints coming from the wards. It was asked to immediately rectify the problems of beds, water, electricity etc. in the wards.

Color of slips changed in Doon Hospital. Color of OPD slips changed in Doon Medical College Hospital. Its color has been changed from white to pink. This system came into effect from Friday. Pink slips were given to patients coming to every department from the registration counter. The Medical Superintendent said that now pink identity cards have been provided in the store instead of white ones.
