Jharkhand: Giridih Police gets big success, five arrested for cheating people by posing as bank officers

Giridih Police’s action against cyber criminals. The police once again achieved great success during the campaign. Police has succeeded in arresting five people by raiding Jamjori village of Ahilyapur police station area. Six mobile phones, 25 SIM cards, five ATM cards, three bank passbooks, four PAN cards, four Aadhar cards and one bike have been recovered from them. Among the arrested accused are Abdul Halim of Jamjori village under Ahilyapur police station, Mohd. Pawan Kumar Mandal of Bishanpur under Minhaj, Bengabad police station, Sujit Kumar Mandal of Devandih of Gandey police station area and a youth named Prashant Murari of Dabri village of Birni police station area are included.

SP said that information was received from Prakharna portal that some cyber criminals are cheating common people by using fake SIMs in Jamjori under Ahilyapur police station. On the basis of this information, a team was formed under the leadership of Cyber ​​DSP Sandeep Samdarshi. ASI Subal De, Gaurav Kumar, SNI Sanjay Mukhiyar, Gajendra Kumar, constable Saket Verma, Saurabh Suman, Suresh Yadav were included in the team and then raided Jamjori village and arrested a total of five youths for committing cyber crimes in different ways. Caught by hands. However, during this time some other youths managed to escape from the spot. Police are conducting raids to arrest the absconding accused.

This is how they used to cheat

According to the SP, the arrested accused told during interrogation that they used to deceive people by posing as employees of India Post Payment Bank and used to cheat them by obtaining OTP and password. Apart from this, these people also used to cheat by sending fake link of the bank. Accused Abdul Halim and Mohd. Minhaj used to bring SIMs from other states and sell them to cyber criminals for Rs 1500 to 2000 per SIM.

166 arrested in four months

SP said that Giridih Police is working under zero tolerance against cyber criminals. All police station in-charges have been instructed to run a continuous campaign against cyber crime. In the last four months, Giridih Police has arrested a total of 166 cyber criminals and sent them to jail. Apart from this, 376 mobile phones, 439 SIM cards, 144 ATM-passbooks, seven checkbooks, 17 PAN cards, 14 Aadhar cards, 26 vehicles, 03 iPads, 02 laptops, Rs 14,37,310 in cash have been recovered, while 229 SIM and 680 IMEIs have been closed.

He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
