Another leopard ‘Shaurya’ dies in Kuno National Park, 10 lost their lives so far
On Tuesday, another cheetah was found dead in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Let us tell you that till now 10 leopards have died in Kuno National Park. This includes 7 leopards and 3 cubs. The dying leopard has been identified as ‘Shaurya’, but the reason for the death of this leopard has not been revealed yet.
According to the statement of the officials and director of Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh, the tracking team found the cheetah unconscious in the forest, after which it was undergoing treatment. But today at around 3:17 pm the Namibian cheetah ‘Shaurya’ died. The cause of death will be known after post-mortem.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released 8 cheetahs brought from Namibia, which included 5 female and 3 male cheetahs, into Kuno National Park on the occasion of his birthday on September 17, 2022, as part of an effort to revive the extinct cheetahs in India. At the same time, in February last year, 12 other leopards were brought from South Africa.
