Uttarakhand: 12 officers from Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar on vigilance radar

12 officers from Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar are on the vigilance radar. Vigilance has intensified open investigation into the properties of officers. As the facts emerge. Further action will be taken on that basis. In the year 2022-23, 12 officers posted in Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital were accused of amassing disproportionate assets by misusing their position. The matter reached the government level.

On the instructions of the government, Vigilance had started investigating the properties of these 12 officers. The allegations against the officers were found to be true. Then Vigilance had informed the government. The government ordered an open investigation on this. CO Vigilance Anil Manral said that 12 officers have come under the ambit of investigation.

Properties, bank accounts and other records in the names of officials have been sought for open investigation. According to sources, four officers under investigation have served in Nainital and eight in Udham Singh Nagar. Most of the officers are from revenue and district administration. One or two police officers are also involved in the investigation. There is an allegation of taking Kothi and huge amount of land in Udham Singh Nagar.
