Delhi government will give an honorarium of Rs 1 crore each to the families of 6 martyred soldiers of Delhi who lost their lives while on duty. This amount will be given to the families of Delhi Police ASI Om Prakash and ASI Ragheshyam, Major Raghunath and Captain Jayant Joshi posted in the Indian Army, Delhi Civil Defense personnel Puneet Gupta and Fire Operator Praveer Kumar. CM Arvind Kejriwal has approved the proposal received from the Revenue Department in this regard.

While giving information on Tuesday, Revenue Minister Atishi said that the Delhi government under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal has always stood shoulder to shoulder with the families of the martyrs. As soon as he came to power, the Chief Minister started giving an honorarium of Rs 1 crore each to the families of martyrs who lost their lives while protecting the country or while performing duty in the field. Army, police, paramilitary, civil defense and home guard personnel living in Delhi were included in this scheme. However, Samman Rashi cannot compensate for the loss suffered by the families of martyrs, but it definitely helps their families to live a dignified life.
