New steps have been taken by the Government of India to stop cyber crime. Now once again the government has issued a new alert, in which people have been asked to stay safe. A new alert has been issued by the Home Ministry to protect people from cyber crime. It explains how crimes against people are committed.

The Union Home Ministry has issued an alert and detected a completely new method of scam. It is said that the bank account of the users becomes completely zero. In many cases, even OTP is not asked from the users. That means people are being cheated without informing them. In this, scammers claim to protect people from hacking, but in reality they are the ones carrying out it.

If the alert is to be believed, a number is also given in it to prevent people from hacking. It says that he should dial this number and if he does not do so, his phone will be switched off. That means the phone will be of no use. Many people do not understand this, but actually this is a way of scamming. You are asked to call *401#99963….45 (any number). In such a situation, you need to be very cautious.

How to protect-

If you want to protect yourself from such scams, then first of all you should not answer any such call. Because in case the phone or SIM card is hacked, no information is given over phone. In many cases, pressure is put on the users and even the app is downloaded on their phones. Actually this is a VPN App which steals all the data from your phone. Therefore you need to be very cautious.
