India gave a blow to its friend Israel, supported a separate Palestinian state, Biden also along

Important statements have come from India and America on the dispute between Israel and Palestine. Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and US President Joe Biden have talked about a two-state solution. These statements from the leaders of India and America have come at a time when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed objection to the Palestinian state. Netanyahu reiterated his opposition to Palestinian sovereignty, saying he objects to recognizing Palestine as a state.

US President Joe Biden has said that it is not impossible for the Palestinians to create an independent state while Benjamin Netanyahu remains the Israeli PM. On Friday, Biden was asked whether a two-state solution might be possible with Netanyahu as PM. Biden said that it is not impossible, it is possible and I think we will be able to do some work. A day earlier, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller had said that Israel’s long-term security challenges in the region will not be resolved without a Palestinian state. At the same time, there is no other way to solve the short-term challenges of Gaza reconstruction than a Palestinian state.
