The accused who made deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna was caught by Delhi Police
The young man who made a deepfake video of South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has been arrested by the IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operation) of Delhi Police Special Cell. DCP Hemant Tiwari of Special Cell has confirmed this. Earlier, the Special Cell had said that a person from South India had made a deepfake video of Mandana.
The accused is a resident of Andhra Pradesh
Delhi Police has arrested the accused in the case, Imani Naveen, who is a resident of Palaparu village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. His age is 24 years. He was the one who made the deepfake video of Mandhana and uploaded it on social media.

Video made to increase followers
DCP IFSO Unit Hemant Tiwari said, ‘We have arrested the main accused, Imani Naveen, 24, from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Laptop and mobile phone have been recovered from him. Its deleted data is also being recovered. To increase followers, he created a fan page of actress Rashmika Mandanna and also created two more fan pages of other two celebrities. Also made a deepfake video of it. Further investigation is underway.
An arrest was made in the case earlier also
Let us tell you, when Rashmika’s video was broadcast on the internet media on November 6, IFSO had registered an FIR against unknown person under section 66C and 66E of the Information Technology Act in a case of fraud to harm reputation. After this, the police had written letters to various internet media companies asking them to provide information. Recently, the police had arrested a person from Bihar.
