Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scholarship Scheme, In the first phase, CM Dhami deposited Rs 33 lakh 51 thousand in the accounts of 241 students through DBT

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday provided an amount of Rs 33 lakh 51 thousand through DBT to the accounts of 241 students in the first phase of the Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scholarship Scheme from the Chief Minister’s residence. This amount was provided to the students entering the first year of graduation in the university campuses and government colleges of the state. These students entering the first year of graduation, having minimum 80 percent marks in 12th examination and as per the faculty wise merit list prepared at the college level, monthly scholarship of Rs 03 thousand, 02 thousand and Rs 1500 will be provided to the first, second and third respectively. Has been. Scholarship distribution for other classes will be done after verification on Samarth portal from the concerned institute level. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also interacted with students associated with various colleges and universities.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while congratulating all the students benefiting from the Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scholarship Scheme, said that the main objective of starting this scheme is to bring forward the talents of students from ordinary families. The state government always stands with them to ensure that children from poor families do not face any kind of hindrance in higher education. Addressing the students, he said that they should move forward in life with hard work and patience. We get direction for which field to choose in our life only after coming to college level. In life, when we work towards achieving a goal with full dedication, we definitely get success in it. He said that whenever you do any work, do it with full concentration. He said that most of the people who have made history, their early life was spent in difficult circumstances.

The Chief Minister said that today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing rapidly in every field. The world’s respect and trust towards India has increased. India’s economy is growing rapidly. India’s economy has become the 5th largest economy in the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described this decade as the decade of Uttarakhand. These words of his inspire us for the development of the state. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to make united efforts to make this decade the decade of Uttarakhand and bring it into the category of leading states of the country.

Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country, where scholarship has been arranged for topper children under the Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scholarship Scheme. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, many commendable works have been done under higher education. With the launch of this scholarship scheme, competition among children for higher education will not only increase but the attendance of students will also increase. Under this scheme, students studying in regular courses in government colleges/state university campuses of the state will be the beneficiaries. The Higher Education Minister said that soon the recruitment process of 425 assistant professors under the Higher Education Department will be completed. 01 lakh 27 thousand children were provided tablets under higher education. For the arrangement of promotions in higher education, 75 percent through promotion and 25 percent through direct recruitment has been arranged through the Public Service Commission. Degree colleges have been opened in all the development blocks of the state. By making 25 degree colleges model degree colleges, arrangements for hostels have also been made for girl students.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman Higher Education Upgradation Committee Dr. Devendra Bhasin, Secretary Higher Education Shailesh Bagoli, Additional Secretary Ashish Srivastava, Director Higher Education Dr. Chandra Dutt Sootha and officials of the Higher Education Department were present.
