Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra attacked in Assam, Congress alleges – BJP workers broke vehicles
Congress Party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is in Assam these days. There is a fierce war of words going on between Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Congress leaders regarding this yatra. On Monday, some people attacked the car of Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh at Jumugurihat in Sunitpur district of the state. The Congress party has alleged that the attackers were Bharatiya Janata Party workers.

Sharing a video of this attack, Jairam Ramesh said that my vehicle was attacked by an uncontrolled BJP mob in Jumugurihat, Sunitpur. They had also torn the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra stickers on the windshield. They threw water and raised slogans. But we maintained our composure, waved to the goons and moved ahead quickly. He alleged that this attack was organized by the CM of the state but we are not afraid of this. We will keep fighting.
After this attack we informed the police
Congress party’s communication committee member Mahima Singh said that after this attack we informed the police. Apart from Jairam Ramesh, the attackers also scuffled with some media persons. The attackers tore the stickers on the vehicle and also tried to put a BJP flag on it. Due to which the rear glass of the car almost broke.
Vlogger’s camera, badge and other equipment snatched away
The Congress leader alleged that the camera, badge and other equipment of a vlogger covering the yatra was snatched away. Members of the party’s social media team were also assaulted. He told that a BJP program was being organized in the area and the media persons had got down from the car to see it. After which the mob attacked. At that time the situation had become very scary.
