Protest against Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra increased in Assam, people raised slogans of ‘Rahul Gandhi go back’, earlier the bus was stopped

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was surrounded by a mob and protested in Ambagan area of Nagaon region of Assam on Sunday (January 21) during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. The people present in the crowd had posters in their hands on which Rahul Gandhi, ‘Goback’ and ‘Anyaj Yatra’ were written. This incident happened on Sunday evening.

The video of this incident has been released by news agency ANI. It can be seen in the video that security personnel are taking Rahul Gandhi out of the crowd safely. The crowd can also be heard sloganeering in the video.

The bus had to be stopped earlier
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra bus was stopped by the crowd. In a video released by news agency ANI, Rahul Gandhi can be seen getting off the Bharat Jodo Yatra bus and moving towards a crowd of people holding BJP flags. However, as soon as the Congress MPs got down from the bus, the security personnel and party workers took them back inside the bus.

The crowd raised slogans of Modi-Modi
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi posted a video on his ex (first Twitter) in which some people are seen standing on the streets with BJP flags in their hands. As soon as Rahul Gandhi reached those people, the people standing there started raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Modi Modi.

Accused of attack on BJP workers
Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh alleged that BJP workers attacked his vehicle in Jumugurihat, Assam during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. Accusing Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of conspiring the alleged attack, Jairam Ramesh claimed that he maintained his composure.

Himanta Baswa Sarma responded
In this regard, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Ram devotees have every right to raise slogans of Jai Shri Ram on the eve of Ramlala’s life consecration. Rahul Gandhi should not lose his temper and he should say Jai Shri Ram.” There should be no allergy to the slogan. Do not incite violence or threaten the public in this way.”
