Uttarakhand: Death of newborn baby after vaccination, officials put pressure for agreement

A two-month-old newborn baby died after vaccination in Harchandpur village of Mangalore area of Haridwar. There is mourning among the family members after the death of the newborn. The family members have accused the PHC doctors of negligence.

According to the information received, Ashish Kumar, resident of Harchandpur, said that he had taken his two-month-old son to the primary health center in Nizampur for vaccination. The child’s health suddenly deteriorated after vaccination. The family members hurriedly took the child to a private hospital. Where the doctors declared the child dead.

But after vaccination his health suddenly deteriorated. The family members have made serious allegations against the doctors.

Family members demanded action
According to the information, it is alleged that after the incident, some officials of the health department had reached the house of the victim’s family. The officials had tried to pressure the family into a compromise. The victim’s family has demanded action in the case. Regarding the matter, CHC Narsan in-charge AK Srivastava says that the investigation of the matter is going on. Only after this further action will be taken.
