Operation of Joshimath-Auli ropeway is closed after the Joshimath disaster. At present, Joshimath-Auli ropeway will not operate. All the towers of the ropeway have to be replaced which may take a lot of time. Due to which businessmen are worried.

There was speculation that the situation of land subsidence in Joshimath had become normal. Therefore, operation of the ropeway will now be started. But the survey report states that many towers have been damaged. Therefore all the towers of the ropeway will be replaced.
