A new religion has entered Arabia, what is the Abrahamic religion which has neither any scripture nor any guru?
Fanaticism regarding religion is increasing in the world. The right wing has become active in Europe, which says that refugees of a particular religion come to their place and create havoc. Religion is at the root of many wars going on at present. Meanwhile, a new religion has also entered. It was ‘launched’ to improve relations between Israel and UAE.
Religion born out of bilateral agreement
An agreement was reached to improve relations between Israel, Bahrain and UAE, which was called the Abrahamic Agreement. Its purpose was to look at the similarities between the three religions – Islam, Christianity and Judaism and combine their differences. That is, it is a kind of hybrid religion, which has some characteristics of all three.
America became mediator
The Abraham Accords were formed in September 2020. This was a bilateral agreement, so that the tension that had been going on for decades between Israel and Arab countries could be reduced. America mediated in this. This was a paperwork, not a complete religion. Every religion has a scripture, but this one has no scripture. He was named Abraham because he was considered a great person in both Muslim and Jewish religions. Judaism is believed to have originated from Prophet Abraham, whereas among Muslims he was a form of prophet.
All three come under Abrahamic religion
All three religions, Christianity, Judaism and Muslim, are counted under Abrahamic religions. All three of them believe that God is one. Their religious beliefs and customs are also very similar. But there are many differences among them, due to which there was controversy over the concept of Abrahamic religion.
What is the controversy
The biggest debate was on the fact that like any religion, it did not come organically, but was formed under a political deal. There was also a controversy on this that rich Arabs are trying this to improve their trade relations with America. Allegedly, Israel’s friend America did this deliberately so that the Arab nations would give up the demand for independent Palestine. Leaving aside the matter of politics, there are some differences among all religions. For example, Christians are not fanatic about food and drink, whereas both Jewish and Muslim religions abstain from many things.
There is no status of Messiah or prophet in Judaism, whereas both other religions believe in it.
What happened after the Abraham Accords?
Friendly relations were established between UAE and Israel. Direct flights started between the two. The Israeli Embassy was opened in Abu Dhabi, while the UAE Embassy was also opened in Tel Aviv. Before this, diplomatic relations were negligible. A place of worship was built to emphasize the Abraham Accords. It was named the Abrahamic Family House. This building located in Abu Dhabi is an interfaith complex, where there is a church, mosque and synagogue. It was opened to the general public in the year 2023.
New religions also kept on forming and deteriorating
People who are bored with existing religions or troubled for some reason keep searching for new religions. New religions keep being formed, which claim that they will bring love and brotherhood in the world. It is called New Religious Movement (NRM). Many such religions started a few decades or centuries ago, while other religions are considered thousands of years old.
Kundalini awakening in Sikhism
A person associated with Sikh religion had founded 3HO religion. This religion is also called Sikhism International by the name Healthy, Happy, Holi Organization. In this, believers wearing turban try to awaken Kundalini. There is a lot of strictness in eating habits. Similarly, many so-called religions originated from Christian faith. Most religions are being formed in Africa.
◾Talking about India, Art of Living can also be placed under New Religious Movement. It is not directly a religion, but talks about spirituality through meditation, yoga and diet.
◾Rajneesh International Foundation also comes under NRM. This was Osho’s commune, which was highly controversial for its methods
