Prime Minister announced Suryoday Yojana as soon as he returned from Ayodhya – Solar panels will be installed on the roofs of one crore houses

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement on January 22 as soon as he returned to Delhi from the Shri Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. The Modi government has announced an ambitious ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’ to install solar panels on every house in the country. Under this scheme, one crore families will get solar energy on the roof of their house.

Prime Minister Modi, soon after his visit to Ayodhya after the consecration of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram, chaired a meeting to launch the “Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana” at his residence in Delhi. During the meeting, he said that this will not only reduce the electricity bills of the poor and middle class, but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.

Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana aims to provide electricity through rooftop solar energy to low and middle income individuals, as well as provide additional income opportunity for additional power generation. The Prime Minister also said that a massive national campaign should be launched to motivate residential consumers to adopt rooftop solar energy in large numbers.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister posted on social media platform X, ‘All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. Today, on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of life in Ayodhya, my resolve has been further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar roof top system on the roof of their houses. The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses. This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class, but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.
