The scourge of cold continues in Uttarakhand. On Thursday, the morning started with fog in the plains. But it is freezing cold in the morning and evening. Because of which people are forced to resort to bonfire.

So far in January, there has been no winter rain in the high altitude areas except for one or two days. Due to which the incidence of fog has increased in the plains. Due to fog, it is colder in the plains than in the mountains. However, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of change in the weather after January 28.

Chances of rain after January 28
According to Meteorological Department Director Vikram Singh, there are chances of getting relief from fog after January 25. Western disturbance may become active in the state in the next few days. After which there is a possibility of rain due to change in weather after January 28. There will be relief from dry and freezing cold only after it rains. For January 25, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of dense fog in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar.

The weather condition was like this on Wednesday
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Dehradun was recorded at 22.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal and the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal. Whereas the maximum temperature of Pantnagar was recorded at 16.6, three degrees below normal and the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. Whereas the maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 11.4 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal and the minimum temperature was minus 0.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.
