Uttarakhand: CM Dhami participated in the Namo New Voter Conference organized at Roorkee College of Engineering

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Namo Navdata Conference organized at Roorkee College of Engineering on Thursday. The Chief Minister said that voters play an important role in strengthening democracy. He appealed to all the new voters to cast their vote and also make everyone aware to cast their vote. He said that vote has the most importance in democracy. Voters are the destiny makers of the country. He said that youth will play the most important role in fulfilling the resolve of developed India.

The Chief Minister called upon all the youth to exercise their franchise to strengthen democracy. Those who have become eligible to exercise their franchise, register themselves and take the right to vote. Everyone should do the sacred act of voting. Our thinking should be that first voting, then refreshments. He said that awareness about voting has increased among the people, as a result the voting percentage is continuously increasing. He said that the Election Commission continuously runs awareness campaigns to make people aware about voting. Our youth will also have to run awareness campaigns for this by going to schools, colleges, institutions and different areas.

On this occasion, MLA Pradeep Batra, District Panchayat President Haridwar Kiran Chaudhary, former MLA Sanjay Gupta, State President of BJP Yuva Morcha Shashank Rawat, District President of Yuva Morcha Gaurav Kaushik, District President of BJP Shobharam Prajapati and other officials were present.
