Uttarakhand: Company formed for quality and sale of House of Himalayas products

It has been decided to form an apex level organization and umbrella brand to increase the reach of all the branded products prevalent in the state, improve the quality, ensure standardized packaging and branding and marketing.

Marketing at large scale on the basis of long-term thinking regarding quality of products, branding and better marketing, improvement in livelihood of local stakeholders like self-help groups, farmers and fulfillment of targets set under Lakhpati Didi programme, etc. It has been decided to register the apex level organization as “Company” instead of “Committee” for procurement of raw materials, digital marketing, multiple sales channels etc. so that House of Uttarakhand is established as the brand of the state. Himalayas can be established at national and international level.

PM Modi had inaugurated
PM Narendra Modi had inaugurated the ‘House of Himalayas’ during the investor summit on December 8, 2023. PM Modi had said that this will give a new identity to the hill products. Everyone should make efforts to make the state’s products local to global. The PM had said that our manufacturing should be such that the world follows it and we will have to work towards reducing imports and exporting more. After which the Dhami government has started making ‘House of Himalayas’ global.
