After the ASI report became public, first Friday namaz took place in Gyanvapi, police deployed at every nook and corner

ASI had conducted a survey in Gyanvapi Mosque of Varanasi for three months. Its report has been submitted to Hindu and Muslim parties. The claims of the Hindu side are once again being rejected by the Muslim side. After the survey report of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was made public, the first Friday prayers were held in Gyanvapi Mosque.

A large number of worshipers are reaching Gyanvapi Masjid to offer namaz. The Commissionerate Police is on alert mode regarding Friday prayers. – Strict security arrangements have been made in view of the number of worshippers. Police forces have been deployed at every nook and corner. At the same time, the police is also keeping an eye on social media to prevent any kind of rumor from spreading. The intelligence department has also been put on alert mode.

Let us tell you that the 839-page report on behalf of the Muslim side was received by Akhlaq Ahmed, the lawyer of Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee. He has completely rejected the claim of the Hindu side. He says that a mosque was never built after demolishing the temple. After the study, he can also file an objection in the court against the ASI survey report.

The idols found in the mosque are not authentic – Muslim side’s lawyer

Lawyer Akhlaq Ahmed said that the Hindu side is not an expert who can tell by looking at a building how old the stone is. This is not written even in the ASI report. On the question of mention of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in the pictures of ASI report in Gyanvapi Masjid, the lawyer said, those idols are not authentic. She might have been found in the debris of the temple.

Akhlaq Ahmed said that there was a building of the mosque, which was known as North Yard Gate. There lived five tenants who made stone idols. Before barricading the entire area was open. The debris of idols was thrown there. Idols would have been found in that debris itself. This is not an authentic thing.

Hindu side’s claim- idols were pressed with soil in the basement

At the same time, the Hindu side has quoted the ASI report and said that the pillars and plaster have been reused for the mosque with slight modifications. Also, an attempt was made to erase the carvings on the pillars.

Here, 32 such inscriptions of old Hindu temples have been found, which are written in Devanagari, Granth, Telugu and Kannada languages. The Hindu side lawyer said that Mahamukti Mandap is a very important word, which is found in its inscription. During the survey, a stone inscription was found, the broken part of which was already with the ASI. The pillars of the earlier temple have been reused.

At the same time, idols of Hindu gods and goddesses were found in the basement, which were buried under soil. The western wall is part of the Hindu temple. This is completely clear. The Hindu temple was demolished in the 17th century and the present structure was built from its demolished debris.
