Uttarakhand: Tableau of Information Department got first prize in Republic Day Parade, Dehradun

In the main function organized at the Parade Ground on the occasion of Republic Day, tableaux were displayed by various departments in which the tableau of the Information Department got the first place. This award was presented by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, which was presented by Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari and Joint Director/Nodal Officer K.S. Chauhan received.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the third decade of the twenty-first century belongs to Uttarakhand. In Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, under developed India, work on development projects worth several lakh crores like all-weather road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, home stay, rope-way etc. is being done at a rapid pace and traditional grains are also being produced in sufficient quantity. being done.
Director General of Information Department Banshidhar Tiwari said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the tableau of “Developed Uttarakhand” has been prepared by the Information Department.
In the front part of the tableau, Uttarakhandi woman has been shown welcoming in traditional attire and the cultivation of traditional grains Manduwa, Jhangora, Ramdana and Kauni and the state bird Monal has been shown.
The home stay is shown in the central part of the tableau. Thousands of villagers are getting employment through the homestay scheme in the mountains. Sarmoli village of Uttarakhand has been declared the best tourist village in the year 2023 by the Government of India. Also, women in Uttarakhand are becoming self-reliant through Lakhpati Didi Yojana. Solar energy and mobile towers have been shown to local women working in self-help groups and in remote mountains.
The last part of the tableau shows all-weather road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, rope-way and road connectivity to India’s first village Mana. These schemes have brought about a radical change in the transportation facilities for the passengers in Uttarakhand.
The tableau has been designed and conceptualized under the direction of KS Chauhan, Joint Director/Nodal Officer of the Construction Department. The tableau was accompanied by dancing artists in traditional costumes based on the folk culture of Uttarakhand.
