Uttarakhand: Congress demands action against IFS officer accused of harassing women, accuses government of suppressing the case
Congress chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni, in a press conference at the party office today, has accused an IFS rank officer of the Pollution Control Board of harassing women. Garima Dasouni has demanded action in this matter.
IFS rank officer accused of harassment
Congress chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that Pollution Control Board member secretary Sushant Patnaik of IFS rank has harassed one of his juniors not once but several times. He told that the person who was harassed is the daughter of former BJP MLA from Uttarkashi, Gopal Singh Rawat.
Hearing was not held even after complaint
Along with this, he said that the daughter of the former MLA from Uttarkashi has complained in writing to the DGP of the state. But even after complaining, he was not given any hearing. He has questioned whether, like Ankita Bhandari, the screams of Gopal Singh Rawat’s daughter will also remain unheard.
This is not the first case of female harassment against Sushant Patnaik
Garima Dasouni said that this is not the first case of harassment of women against Sushant Patnaik. In fact, even before this, allegations have been made against him many times. Garima Dasouni said that the government should investigate the allegations against that officer and take action as soon as possible.
