There is anger among the local people after two people lost their lives in a tiger attack in Ramnagar recently. Angry villagers blocked the Dhela-Jhirna tourist road in Sawalde for two hours after the woman was killed by a tiger.

Villagers blocked the Dhela-Jhirna tourist road in Sawalde for two hours on Monday in protest against the death of a woman in a tiger attack on Sunday. During this time the villagers also stopped the VVIP fleet. Due to which the police sent the fleet through another route.

Outrage among villagers over increasing terror of wildlife
There is anger among the villagers regarding the increasing terror of wildlife. Due to this, the villagers staged a protest on the Dhela-Jhirna tourist road from 1 pm to 3 pm on Monday. Due to the protest, the Forest Department sent the tourists through another route.

Mahesh Joshi, leader of the Joint Struggle Committee at the protest site, said that on December 14, the Corbett administration had come to the protest and announced that permission had been taken to capture the man-eating tiger. But even after this, there is zero action in the matter. If the tiger had been captured, Durga Devi’s life would have been saved.

Dhela Ranger ended the strike by convincing the villagers
Lalit Upreti said that the policy of preserving wild animals by killing humans should be changed. During the protest, the car of former Punjab MLA Vikram Singh Majithia, who had Z category security, also got stuck. After which the police sent his car through another route. Dhela Ranger Ajay Dhyani ended the protest by convincing the villagers.
