Uttarakhand: CM Dhami distributed blankets to the workers registered in the Labor Department, gave instructions to distribute blankets to more than 3 lakh registered workers within 15 days

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday started the blanket distribution campaign by distributing blankets to the registered workers in the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Welfare Board Labor Department near the IT Park located on Sahastradhara Road. The Chief Minister directed that the work of distribution of blankets to all the more than 03 lakh registered workers of the state should be completed within 15 days. During this, the Chief Minister interacted with the workers to inquire about their well being and also boosted their morale.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials of the Building and Other Construction Welfare Board that whatever schemes are being run by the government to help the workers, it should be ensured that every eligible person gets the benefits of the facilities on time. They should also be made aware about various schemes. He said that to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a developed India, we have to make continuous efforts to raise the standard of living of people of every section of the society.

On this occasion, Secretary Labor R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari, Labor Commissioner Deepti Singh and workers were present.
