Blast-violence continues before elections in Pakistan, bomb blast shakes Balochistan area
As the time of general elections in Pakistan is approaching, incidents of violence and explosions are increasing there. Several incidents of explosions have been reported in the last few days. Meanwhile, another bomb blast took place outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office in Balochistan’s Nushki district on Sunday, ARY News reported. However, there is no news of any casualty so far in the explosion. The police said in a statement that a bomb was detonated outside the gate of the ECP office. Police said the investigation into the bomb blast was ongoing. According to ARY News, the police have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search operation to nab the criminals.
There was a bomb blast outside the Election Commission office in Karachi.

According to the SSP, the explosive material was kept in a shopping bag near the wall of the ECP office, which is located in the Red Zone area of Karachi. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought a report from the District Surveillance Officer and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South on the blast outside its Karachi office.
Six people were injured in the blast on Friday
Meanwhile, six people, including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers, were injured in hand grenade attacks in different towns of Balochistan on Friday. Several incidents of violence marred the pre-poll atmosphere in Balochistan and Karachi as several grenade attacks and blasts targeted political institutions and election-related offices.
In Mughalsarai area of Kalat city, three PPP workers were injured when unidentified assailants on a motorcycle targeted the party’s election office and blasted a grenade close to the building, news agency Dawn reported. In Balochistan, six persons, including PPP workers, were injured in hand grenade attacks in various towns.
