Uttarakhand: Proceedings of the first day of special session in the Assembly concluded

The proceedings of the first day of the special session of Uttarakhand Assembly concluded with tributes and condolence motions to the former members. A message of condolence has been given on the demise during the proceedings of the House on the first day. Earlier, before the commencement of the proceedings of the House, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that during the proceedings of the House, the opposition will raise all the issues related to public interest within the House. Also, the Leader of Opposition said on UCC that the government is going to pass it in a hurry, but they need time to study. Also said that the opposition will also raise the issue of UCC within the House.
Opposition will raise burning issues
Meanwhile, regarding the assembly session, Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri said that the opposition will raise all the burning issues of the state in the House. It mainly includes issues like inflation, unemployment and hilly areas of the state, which need to be discussed. On the question of passing the Uniform Civil Code, Bhuvan Kapri said that the opposition within the House will discuss the UCC, but before that they need time to study the UCC. Kapri said that very little time has been kept for the assembly session. Actually, according to the Uttarakhand government, this is a special session.
Madan Kaushik said UCC is part of our manifesto
At the same time, former cabinet minister Madan Kaushik said that it is a good thing that the opposition raises all the issues within the House. The ruling party will respond to it in a better way inside the House. On the question raised by the opposition on UCC, Madan Kaushik said that implementing Uniform Civil Code in the state is in the manifesto of BJP. Due to this the government is implementing it. If the opposition has any problem, then it should raise the issue within the House so that it can be discussed in detail. Also said that the opposition has enough time to study the draft of the Uniform Civil Code.
The proceedings of the first day of Uttarakhand Assembly session have concluded. After this, the proceedings of the House have been adjourned till 11:00 am on 6th February. After the demise motion on the first day of the proceedings of the House, the proceedings of the House were adjourned till tomorrow. Before this, the message of a sitting and the death of 5 former MLAs was read. Recently 6 leaders have passed away. This includes one sitting MLA and 5 former MLAs. The obituary message of BSP MLA Sharbat Karim Ansari, Kunwar Raja Narendra Singh, Dhaniram Singh Negi, Mohan Singh Rawat (villager), Kishan Singh Tagadi and Puranchandra Sharma was read out in the House. First, Leader of the House Pushkar Singh Dhami started reading the death message. During this, CM Dhami paid tribute to all the deceased leaders. After the CM, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya read the condolence message.
Haridwar MLA Madan Kaushik requested the Leader of the House Pushkar Singh Dhami that on the death of former MLAs, the last farewell should be given with state honours. Madan Kaushik said this while speaking on the condolence of the demise of Kunwar Raja Singh. He said that at present, on the death of the sitting MLA, he is given farewell with state honours. On this, CM Dhami said that its GEO will be seen.
The entire proceedings of the first day focused only on the death message. During the death message, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Cabinet Minister and all the Assembly members expressed their condolences. The leaders of the ruling party and the opposition also placed before the people in the House all the memories related to the deceased leaders. After completion of the obituary, Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri concluded the proceedings of the first day of the House and adjourned the proceedings of the House till 11:00 am on February 6.
