Uttarakhand: Two big opposition leaders resigned from the Business Advisory Committee, made serious allegations against BJP

The proceedings of the first day of Uttarakhand Assembly session have been adjourned till 11 am on February 6. After the proceedings of the first day of the House, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was called under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri. The proceedings of the House were discussed in the meeting. During the discussion itself, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya and Opposition MLA Pritam Singh resigned from the membership of the Business Advisory Committee. After this both these opposition leaders came out of the meeting.
Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the proceedings of the House are governed by the rules. This is the operating rule of Uttarakhand. The present government of Bharatiya Janata Party is continuously ignoring it. The opposition is continuously asking for time to study the UCC Bill which the government is going to table in the House tomorrow, so that the opposition MLAs can participate in the discussion on UCC, but the government, on the basis of its numerical strength, can take part in the Business Advisory Committee. She also creates pressure in the meeting. He says that tomorrow morning the UCC will present the bill on the table of the House and then discuss it.
Also, the leader of the opposition party said that the BJP government is not understanding democracy. Therefore, the BJP government is killing constitutional values. On the basis of numerical strength, BJP is ignoring the business rules and traditions of the assembly, which is not acceptable to the opposition. During the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, the opposition said that the UCC Bill should be placed on the table of the House after noon on 6th February. After that there should be discussion on it on 7th February. So that one can get time to study, but BJP wants to suppress the voice of opposition MLAs due to its dictatorial attitude. In such a situation, there is no justification for advisory committee meetings.
At the same time, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri said that she cannot say anything on why the opposition leaders resigned. He told that a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was held. In which there was discussion for a long time. Many decisions have been taken regarding the proceedings of the House. Under which, with the commencement of the House proceedings on the morning of 6th February, the Uniform Civil Code MLA will be placed on the table of the House. After this the discussion on UCC will start again. The Assembly Speaker said that the eyes of not only the people of Uttarakhand but the entire country are fixed on the Uniform Civil Code.
In the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri on Monday, it was decided that the report submitted by the Select Committee regarding the UCC Bill and giving the benefit of 10 percent horizontal reservation to the state agitators. It will be placed on the table of the House. After that the discussion on UCC will start. This time there will be no Question Hour during the proceedings of the House. The main reason for which is that the government wants that UCC should be discussed in a better way.
