Indian Navy saved 19 Pakistanis from pirates
Earlier on January 29, the Indian Navy had saved the lives of 19 Pakistani sailors in the Arabian Sea off the eastern coast of Somalia. The Iranian flagged ship was kidnapped by 11 pirates. After this, the Navy sent its warship INS Sumitra to rescue the ship.
The name of this ship was FV Al Naimi. All the crew members present on the ship were Pakistanis. The pirates had taken all the 19 Pakistanis on board hostage. The Navy had caught the robbers after the rescue operation. This operation was conducted 850 nautical miles, i.e. 1574 kilometers, west of Kochi.
Let us tell you that after the Israel-Hamas war, pirate attacks on ships have increased significantly. So far 7 such cases have been reported in the Arabian Sea. In view of this, the Indian Navy has also increased the deployment of warships in the Arabian Sea. On the other hand, Yemen’s Houthi rebels are also continuously targeting ships in the Red Sea in protest against the attacks on Palestinians.
