Uttarakhand: Budget session of Assembly may be held from February 26, government busy in preparations

The budget session of the Assembly for the financial year 2024-25 in Uttarakhand is likely to be held on February 26. However, there is a resolution to hold the budget session in the Legislative Building located in the summer capital Bharadisain. But right now there is doubt whether the session will be held in Dehradun or Bharadisain. According to sources, most of the members of the ruling party and the opposition are not in favor of holding the session in Bharadisain. One of the main reasons for this is said to be the weather.

However, after being free from the three-day session, the state government is now likely to start preparing for the budget session. Political parties are also assuming that the Model Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha elections can be implemented within the first fortnight of March. The state government wants to pass the budget before the code of conduct.
