Uttarakhand: Amidst ED action, CBI also knocked, took information about Corbett case from PCCF Half at Forest Headquarters

Amidst ED’s action in Uttarakhand, CBI has also knocked. On Thursday, CBI reached the forest headquarters and collected information related to its investigation. There was a stir in the department due to the arrival of CBI. Many types of talks started taking place among all the officers regarding the arrival of CBI. However, the CBI SP himself reached the headquarters and met PCCF Hof on important facts of the Corbett case and collected information related to illegal demolition and construction.

While the Enforcement Directorate team is raiding the houses of many IFS officers including the former cabinet minister in connection with the Corbett Tiger Reserve issue in Uttarakhand, the CBI also came to the forest headquarters on the very next day of the ED raid and issued a threat. The CBI team reached the Forest Department headquarters and met Chief Forest Conservator Half Anoop Malik. During this, the CBI officer asked for all the information related to Corbett Tiger Reserve from Hof. It is reported that the CBI officer talked to the PCCF Half on the facts revealed during the CBI investigation so far. Information about some officers was taken from the PCCF Half.

Not only this, information was also sought about the rules of the forest department related to illegal felling and construction. It was told that CBI also asked for some important documents from PCCF Half. However, it was not clear whether these documents were related to the rules or were based on the approvals in the case. A day before, ED had also raided many places and in the meantime, the arrival of CBI created panic among the officers. It is reported that the CBI officer talked to the PCCF officer for more than an hour.
