Uttarakhand: CM Dhami instructed the police to deal strictly with the unruly elements, said, no miscreant will be spared

Regarding the incident that took place in Banbhulpura, Haldwani, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting with officials at the government residence on Friday and reviewed the current situation. In the meeting, CM Dhami has given clear instructions to the police to deal strictly with the unruly elements. Also, the people of Haldwani have been requested to cooperate with the police administration in maintaining peace.

CM Dhami clearly said that each and every rioter who indulged in arson and stone pelting is being identified, no miscreant who disturbs harmony and peace will be spared. He said that strictest action will be taken against the rioters and miscreants.

Stone pelting, arson on team that went to remove encroachment

Let us tell you that in the famous Banbhulpura of Haldwani, stones were pelted at the team of police, administration and municipal corporation which had gone to demolish the illegal madrasa and namaz place built on government land. During this, miscreants set fire to Banbhulpura police station. Dozens of vehicles of police and media persons standing there were burnt with petrol bombs. The policemen somehow saved their lives by running away from the police station. Till 2 o’clock in the night, six people were reported dead in the uproar. However, the police administration is saying that two people have died. Nainital DM Vandana Singh held a press conference on Friday regarding the incident. He said that according to official information so far, two people have died. More than 250 people including woman SDM and SP were injured in the uproar.
