Himachal Pradesh / Sirmaur: Undeveloped fetus found in the verandah of the house, lower part of the torso, arms and legs were missing

A sensational incident has come to light in Sangrah sub-division of Himachal Pradesh. Here an underdeveloped fetus was thrown in the verandah of the house in Jarag village. The thing that gave goosebumps was that the fetus had no arms and legs, as well as the lower part of the torso. Wet mud was found on the body.

Prem Chand of Jarag had informed the police that a 4-5 month old fetus had been thrown in the verandah. Immediately the police team reached the spot. Police suspect that someone might have buried the body to hide the birth. There is also a suspicion that the underdeveloped fetus may have been buried in a hurry. For this reason it was dug up and taken out by the animal. Due to the fetus not being buried properly, the arms and legs would have been left outside, hence the arms would have been the first target of the animals.

On the other hand, the police got the post-mortem done at Nahan Medical College. The report revealed that the fetus could be 6-7 months old. The organs have been torn off by animals. Sangdah DSP Mukesh Dhadwal also inspected the spot. During this time the DSP also interrogated the people nearby. In a cursory inquiry, the police did not find any clue related to the fetus.

Sangdah police is taking action under section 318 of IPC. Additional Superintendent of Police Yogesh Rolta confirmed that investigation into the matter is ongoing. On the other hand, Prem Chand had also informed the police that a loud noise was also heard during the night.
