Actually, the Thai Airways flight was about to take off for Bangkok at Chiang Ai Airport. Meanwhile, a passenger opened the emergency gate, due to which there was chaos among the passengers and the plane had to return to the terminal. This was disclosed by a passenger through a Facebook post.

Passenger created ruckus in the plane
Ananya Tiangate wrote on Facebook that the passenger created a ruckus in the plane. The air hostess also got upset due to this. Expressing concern, he said what would have happened if the plane was at an altitude of 30 thousand feet and the passenger had opened the door.

More than 12 flights affected
Chiang Mai Airport director Ronakorn Chalermsenyakorn said all passengers were disembarked safely after the plane returned to the terminal. Technicians inspected the aircraft. The incident affected more than 12 flights at the airport. Many flights departed late. However, the plane was dispatched after inspection. The passenger has been taken into custody.

The passenger admitted his mistake
The passenger’s lawyer said that he has accepted his mistake. He felt that some people were coming behind him. His behavior suggested that he was hallucinating. The passenger is said to be a Canadian tourist.
