Uttarakhand: Former MLA Champion again in controversy, security personnel filed a case, accused of assault

Former Khanpur MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion has once again come into controversy. The constable deployed for his security has filed a case against him in Dalanwala police station. The security personnel allege that Champion often abuses and beats them. He had also assaulted her last Thursday. The police have registered a case under various sections including obstructing government work and started investigation.
SSP Ajay Singh said that constable Gokul Prasad Yadav is currently posted in Police Line Roshanabad. He was posted under the security of former MLA Khanpur since January 30. Gokul Prasad has alleged that Champion abuses him when work is not done as per his wish. They often threaten them if no work is done.
Last Thursday, Champion was at his Mohini Road residence. During this time, at around 8.30 pm, he suddenly started pushing and shoving Gokul Prasad. After this, Prasad informed his superiors in Haridwar about this incident and lodged a complaint at Dalanwala police station on Saturday. A case has been registered in the matter and investigation is being done.
Case was filed against Champion in 2022 also
Let us tell you that earlier in December 2022 also, a case was registered against Champion in Dalanwala police station. Nand Kishore Bhatt, who was the inspector in-charge at that time, had given a complaint that Champion came to the police station and started creating ruckus there. When the policemen tried to explain, they threatened to see him. A case was registered against him for threatening and obstructing government work.
Champion said opponents are plotting
In this matter, Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion says that he is currently preparing for the parliamentary elections. In such a situation, the opponents are hatching such a conspiracy against him. He has accused Gokul Prasad himself of indecency. He says that this incident happened on the night of February 8. After this, he sent a written complaint to SSP Haridwar on February 9. In this he had asked to change the gunner. He had also sent copies of this complaint letter to the Home Minister, Chief Minister and Director General of Police. He has called this case baseless.
