On being expelled from Congress, Acharya Pramod Krishnam said – ‘There is no compromise on Ram and nation’

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was expelled from the Congress days after his anti-party comments and meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday said “there can be no compromise”. In a post on Twitter, he said, ‘Ram and the nation… but there can be no compromise.’ In an official statement on Saturday, the Congress president asked the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee to “expel Pramod Krishnam from the party immediately for a period of six years.” had approved the resolution, saying the decision was taken following “complaints of indiscipline and repeated public statements against the party”. After this decision, the first statement of Pramod Krishnam has come out in which he has tweeted while tagging Rahul Gandhi and expressed his views.

Congress took action

Earlier this month, Krishnam had met Prime Minister Modi and invited him to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sri Kalki Dham to be held on February 19. He then said in a post on Instagram, “Heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the Honorable Prime Minister for accepting this.”

Thanking Pramod Krishnam for the invitation, the Prime Minister replied that “it is a privilege for me to be a part of this sacred occasion associated with faith and devotion”.

Earlier last month, Krishnam had criticized the decision of opposition leaders not to attend the January 22 ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, saying it was “unfortunate”. Acharya Pramod said at that time, “No Christian or priest or even Muslim can reject the invitation of Lord Ram. Ram is the soul of India. India cannot be imagined without Ram.”
