Karanbhushan, son of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, who was in controversies, became the president of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association, new committee formed

Karanbhushan Singh, son of former Indian Wrestling Federation president and Kaiserganj BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, was elected president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association on Sunday. Karan had earlier been the Senior Vice President in the Indian Wrestling Federation. At the same time, the command of the state wrestling association was still in the hands of Brij Bhushan.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held under the leadership of suspended Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Sanjay Singh at the Wrestling Training Center in Nandininagar, Nawabganj. During this time, the election process of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association was completed under the supervision of retired judge Anil Kumar Singh. Olympic Association representative Parmendra Singh and WFI representative SP Deshwal were present as observers.

Karanbhushan Singh’s name was proposed for the post of President of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association. He was unanimously elected president. Along with this, Sureshchandra Upadhyay was elected General Secretary, Sanjay Singh was elected Senior Vice President, Vijay Shankar Yadav, Jaiprakash Sharma, Sushil Rajput, Aditya Pratap, Anand Dev Upadhyay and Chandravijay Singh were elected Joint Secretaries. Akhand Pratap Singh was elected treasurer.
