Kebab quickly reached Gurugram from Lucknow, customer files case against Zomato

Saurav Malla from Gurugram ordered food on Zomato. Saurav had ordered four dishes from a sub service named Zomato Legends. In this, three dishes were from Delhi and one was from Lucknow. He had ordered Galouti Kebab from Lucknow. Whereas, there was an order for Chicken Kebab Roll from Jama Masjid, Triple Chocolate Cheese Cake from Kailash Colony, Veg Sandwich from Jangpura. When the kebab reached in 30 minutes, they were surprised that how could the kebab arrive from Lucknow in 3 minutes? After this Saurav Mall filed a case against Zomato.

How did the kebab arrive so quickly?
In fact, Zomato Legends claims to deliver hot food to reputed restaurants in various cities including Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mathura, Chennai and Agra. But the customer felt that the distance between Lucknow and Gurgaon is about 500 kilometers. The kebab arrived so quickly, as if it was from a nearby restaurant. After this, lawyers Tishampati Sen, Anurag Anand and Bianca Bhatia filed a case against Zomato. Now Zomato will have to prove how it delivered so quickly.

Summons issued to Zomato
Summons has been issued to Zomato. Mall’s legal team has argued that the food could not possibly have been transported from Lucknow in such a short time and suggested that it might have been kept at various Zomato warehouses instead. They also said that the food came in Zomato packaging instead of restaurant packaging, which further increased the suspicion regarding the food order. The petitioner has requested the court to restrain Zomato from continuing the Zomato Legends service under the existing claims. Because it seems that the food on such orders is not fresh and customers are being cheated.
