New government gets confidence motion in Bihar
On January 28, the government formed by the alliance of Nitish Kumar and BJP presented a confidence motion. Earlier, a no-confidence motion was brought against Assembly Speaker Awadh Bihari. There was a division of votes regarding this proposal. 125 votes were cast in favor of removing Awadh Bihari from the post while 112 votes were cast against it. After this, Awadh Bihari has been removed from the post of Assembly Speaker.
Tejashwi took aim
After this, discussion on the confidence motion of the new government started in the state assembly. During this, Tejashwi has fiercely targeted the formation of the new government. Tejashwi Yadav also accused Nitish and BJP of dealing on the announcement of giving Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur. Tejashwi said that BJP and Nitish have made a deal in the name of giving Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur.
