Uttarakhand: CM Dhami’s road show in Haridwar, CM made this big announcement
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed a huge public meeting in the Nari Shakti Mahotsav program at Rishikul Maidan, Haridwar on Monday. Not thousands but more than one lakh people came here to listen to him. On the occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 158 development schemes worth Rs 1168 crore for Haridwar district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that a police station will be built at the site of Vanbhulpura encroachment.
Haridwar will get relief from the problem of drinking water and parking
CM Dhami today laid the foundation stone of an approved project of Rs 523 crore with the help of German Bank for strengthening the entire sewerage system of the urban area of Haridwar, drinking water system in rural and urban areas, development of tourist places, parking system and other works. With these schemes, other areas including Haripurkalan, Bhupatwala, Bhimgoda, Harki Paidi, Mayapur, Kankhal, Rishikul, Jwalapur, Awas Vikas Colony, Govindpuri, Jagjitpur will get relief from the problems of drinking water, parking etc. along with sewerage.
Major contribution of women in the construction of Uttarakhand state
CM Dhami said that the backbone of any society or state are its strong women. If the women power of a state is progressing then the development of that state is assured. The women of the state had a special contribution in the formation of the state of Uttarakhand. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, many efforts have been made to raise the standard of living of women. In Uttarakhand too, along with giving 30 percent reservation to women in government jobs, schemes like ‘Mukhyamantri Nari Sashaktikaran Yojana’, Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana, Mukhyamantri Aanchal Amrit Yojana and Poshan Abhiyan have been started.
CM praised for starting Project Tara
CM Dhami praised the Haridwar district administration for starting the dream project Tara to develop the Anganwadi centers and empower the children of the future mentally and physically. Under this project, 150 Anganwadi centers are being made modern and technologically rich, each Anganwadi center is being provided with smart TV, furniture, toys for children and Anganwadi workers are being given detailed training on the new National Education Policy system. 3000 children and 300 Anganwadi workers of Anganwadi centers are being directly benefited by the project.
Continuous work is being done for cultural revival
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of PM Modi, continuous work is being done for cultural revival. The inauguration of the grand and divine temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the reconstruction work of Baba Kedar including Kashi Vishnath Corridor, Mahakal Lok Corridor and the master plan work of Badrinath Dham are proof of the fact that he did what he said.
The Chief Minister said that now we are preparing a proposal to construct Haridwar and Rishikesh corridor, because like Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath and Mahakal Lok Corridor, we want to give Harki Pauri Corridor a separate identity on the world map.
