Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and former Congress leader Ashok Chavan joined BJP today. Ashok Chavan and Amar Rajurkar took membership of BJP. Ashok Chavan formally held the saffron flag at BJP’s Mumbai office at 12.30 pm on Tuesday. During this time, Maharashtra BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis formally included him in the party.

There is a possibility that BJP will give a chance to Ashok Chavan in Rajya Sabha. Actually, the last date for filing applications for Rajya Sabha elections is 15th February.
