Hammer thrower: Rachna Kumari banned for 12 years, had participated in Hangzhou Asian Games
The International Athletics Federation’s Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on Tuesday banned Indian wire shot put athlete Rachna Kumari for 12 years for failing doping tests multiple times. The 30-year-old Rachna’s out-of-competition dope sample was found to contain the steroids Stanozolol, Metandienone, Dehydrochloromethyl Testosterone (DHCMT) and Clenbuterol.
AIU, in its post on Twitter, said that Rachna Kumari has been banned for 12 years from November 24, 2023. All results of this player after 24 September 2023 will be considered invalid. Due to this she will lose her titles, awards, medals, marks etc.
