Administrations of Punjab and Haryana clash over farmers’ movement, DC of Patiala expressed objection on flying drones
Punjab and Haryana administrations have come face to face on Wednesday regarding the farmers’ movement. After the border dispute came to light, ministers of both the states have started defending their respective administrations. Let us tell you that during the agitation on Tuesday, Haryana Police had dropped tear gas shells from a drone. Punjab made this issue an issue. Punjab claims that the area where the farmers have gathered falls in Patiala district. The farmers want to break the barricades and enter the Ambala border which is being stopped by the Haryana Police. On Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner of Patiala district wrote a letter to the DC of Ambala, objecting to flying drones and dropping tear gas shells in the Punjab border. Patiala administration has asked to stop this action immediately. Said that there is a ban on flying drones in Punjab.
After the officials came face to face, ministers of both the states also jumped into the matter. Home Minister Anil Vij said that if someone runs away after killing our police, he will not be spared. Expressing surprise at the attitude of the Punjab government, he said that the Punjab government has issued a notice saying do not send drones into our border. He asked whether this is the border of India and Pakistan. Vij said that when the group of farmers started from Amritsar, the Punjab government did not try to stop them even at a single place on the way. This means that they want to shake Delhi.
Whereas Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal termed the action of Haryana Police as completely wrong. Said that attempts to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab will not be tolerated. Alleged that the Haryana government has made the border of two states the India-Pakistan border. All this is being done at the behest of the Central Government.
